No... But seriously, you wouldn’t want the trouble or hassle of picking up your patio kit. The small patio kit (12' x 12') weighs 1,800 kg and the large one (24' x 24') weighs 6,950 kg. Can you really imagine putting 3,968 to 15,322 pounds in your car, pickup or trailer?! Plus, delivery is free... so don't bother. We’ve got you covered! ;)

Our experts have calculated that one person can install a 12' x 12' patio in about 6 hours. Just think, in one weekend, your DIY patio project should be finished. YAY! The fireplace takes about 1 hour to install – it's a no-brainer! A little extra effort makes for lots of fun evenings with family and friends! FUEGGOO!! YAY!
Actually, it's very simple. No, really! Each unit weighs 45 lbs, and you don't have to worry which slab goes where – they all measure 12 x 24 inches. Plus, we cut some of the slabs before we deliver them to you to make it even easier for you! ;) You’ll be installing these half slabs at the edges of your patio. You see... easy peasy!
To build your patio, no! We provide you with the right number of pre-cut paving stones to make the edges of your patio, so you won't need to rent a concrete saw. YAY! You can hire a pro for the excavation. If you do, you won't need to rent any equipment. Or if you decide to do the excavation yourself (see the guide), we recommend renting a vibrating plate and maybe even a mini-excavator. Check Google for the nearest tool rental shop!
If you’re ready to provide the pizza, yes. But you can do it yourself! The least manually inclined person in the world would be able to install our patios, 4 years and up. But hey... as they say: the more the merrier! So, ring up your brother and tell him pizza is on the way! As Michelangelo would say: COWABUNGA!
No, we trust your champion skills! But seriously, if you're not sure how to do it, take a deep breath and check the Guide; it's great! 1, 2, 3, GO! Check the guide!
It’s not so heavy (not back breaking): 45 lbs/unit. With 2 people, it's even lighter! Yep, believe it or not... it's half as heavy with 2 people! ;)
Here’s a quick example: landscapers would charge you around $25/sq. ft. That means a 12' x 12' (144 sq. ft.) patio would cost $3,600 all included. But, if you take up the DIY challenge with us, it will cost you only $1299, excepting the excavation, which isn’t included. The other thing you should know is that for the last few years, landscapers have been quite overwhelmed, and it might be hard for you to find one available quickly. We lend them a hand on simpler projects, and you save on labour costs and get your patio in a weekend! BOOYAH!
The 50 mm slabs are of very good quality and are manufactured by the paving stone industry leader in Quebec especially for Pavé Québec. The other products are recognized and tested brands, such as Garant or Lepage! We pinky swear: you won't be disappointed with their quality! ;)
Efflorescence occurs when the minerals in concrete rise to the surface. It's a bit of a nuisance because it can look like whitish stains. Sadly, there's not much you can do to prevent it since it's a natural process. Keep in mind that efflorescence often disappears after 2-3 years of weathering, though! And if you don't want to wait for Mother Nature to wash it away on her own, you can get some concrete cleaner and start scrubbing. Scrub-a-Dub-Dub!
Note: FYI, efflorescence in no way compromises the product’s quality or value..
Pavé Québec offers a lifetime warranty on concrete products (slabs) as long as they are used according to the building code and installed according to the manufacturer's guidelines and/or those of recognized associations (ICPI, NCMA, AEMQ). The lifetime warranty is provided to the original owner (with proof of invoice). It applies to Pavé Québec slabs only and excludes labour. In the event a product is covered by the warranty, Pavé Québec will replace the product only (excluding labour). There are no warranties, express or implied, of any kind, including without limitation, of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to this product. Any installation of 100 sq. ft. or more of pavers constitutes acceptance of the product texture and acceptance of the colour. At the time of installation, the customer should alternate slabs from different pallets to ensure optimum colour dispersion. Due to the natural composition of concrete, colour matching may vary slightly. Pavé Québec is not responsible for product colour variation. Efflorescence (small white crystals that may appear on the surface of concrete products) is a natural process that disappears gradually and does not compromise the quality or value of the product (and is therefore not covered by the warranty). Some chemicals may accelerate the natural ageing process; however, it is recommended to let the product age naturally. In no event and at no time shall the seller be liable for any loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by the use of this product. The customer is responsible for the proper installation of the slabs; our warranty does not cover installation. If a moves with the ground, we do not cover this problem. We do not offer a warranty on accessories (products other than the pavers). Polymer sand installation (and the sand itself) is not guaranteed. Please follow the installation instructions carefully and store the sand dry before installation.
